THE PEOPLE BEHIND CREATEAM

We built
CREATEAM
because we
needed it.

Not as founders. As people who kept trying to do things alone, and kept running into the same wall.

TWO PEOPLE. ONE REALIZATION.

“What you do matters. But who you do it with matters just as much.”

For a long time, Robin thought the hard part was figuring out what to do. He'd started a company before. The idea was fine. The plan was fine. But the team wasn't really a team, just people in the same room, looking in different directions.

No shared why. No shared vision. It didn't fall apart because the idea failed. It fell apart because the people were never aligned.

What stayed with him was one lesson: what you do matters. But who you do it with matters just as much, maybe more.

“All I ever wanted was a tight group of people, fully in, making something together.”

Leah is obsessed with team projects. In school, she didn't just enjoy them. Her eyes lit up every time a team project was assigned. Her graduation exhibition wasn't a solo portfolio. She formed a team and built a brand together.

But finding a good team was always the hard part. Teams in school lacked commitment. Programs outside felt too big, too formal. All she wanted was a tight group of people, fully in, making something together.

That's it. Simple. But surprisingly hard to find.

HOW IT ALL BEGAN

Before there was even a project,
there was a team.

When Robin joined LEINN, a team-based entrepreneurship program, Leah was there on day one. He didn't wait for a project to come along. He asked her to team up first. The work came after.

For Leah, it was the thing she'd been looking for. Someone who didn't need convincing. Someone just as serious about teams as she was.

That was two years ago. Every project since, as a team. And the thing they're building now is CREATEAM. Same method. Same structure. Same belief: the team comes first, the rest follows.

teampreneurship

CREATEAM is built on
teampreneurship.

A methodology where small teams take on real projects and learn by doing. No lectures. No instructors. The team is the method. Developed by Mondragon Team Academy (MTA) in Finland and Spain, Robin and Leah trained in this methodology through LEINN, MTA's team-based entrepreneurship program.

The original model trains entrepreneurs. CREATEAM doesn't. But the mechanism underneath is the same: you don't prepare and then act. You act, and the learning comes from the action. You get put in a team, and you figure it out together.

What happens over 16 weeks isn't just about the output. The café, the brand, the film, the event. Those matter. But what changes you is everything around it: learning how to commit to people who think differently, finding out what you're capable of when your team is counting on you.

Your team is waiting.

We built CREATEAM because we needed it. Now it's yours.
